To be able to pass on the greetings of the season on behalf of a growing and developing team that continues to progress from strength to strength is a real pleasure. It is not just the new starters that speak to the progress of the team, the development and progress of the existing team is really very exciting. In particular, I highlight the promotion of Simon Goodhead to a Board position and Sarah Dalley to Project Manager within the past six months. Their growth and increasing contribution throughout their time with the consultancy is worthy of the recognition and their promotions well deserved.

I am also able to reflect on what has been another record year for the consultancy business and it is this progress that has enabled the further growth of the team. We have well and truly settled into our new offices at Universal Marina and we are expanding to fill the available space, look out for more news in the coming months. We have also been able to make the most of our surroundings on a number of occasions, most notably getting the team out on the River Hamble on a glorious summer day for a spot of paddleboarding and kayaking.

It is very much the case that we apply our views on industry best practice at our own marinas, (James Watt Dock and Whitehaven) and the value of the connection we have with the customer and day-to-day operations is consistently evident in our consultancy advice. The cross fertilisation between the business units is very real and it adds real substance to the advice and guidance we are providing clients. Again, there is exciting news to come in 2024 about projects and resources across the wider Marina Projects Group.

Our rebrand through the past year has been another notable milestone and we have been able to promote that brand at a number of events. The development of our website and marketing activities through 2024 will be a particular area of focus for us.

Looking forward to 2024 we have many exciting projects and prospects that I hope we will be able to say much more about in the coming months. It strikes me that the theme of my message is that there is more to come in 2024 – so watch this space!
