Marine Licencing Consultant

Project Manager required to further strengthen our consultancy services for acquiring consents within the marine environment

Marina Projects Ltd is seeking to recruit a project manager, specialising in securing and managing marine consents.

We are looking for a highly motivated, well-organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Marina Projects team to further strengthen our consultancy services for acquiring consents within the marine environment.

Marina Projects has an unrivalled track record of securing and managing all areas of legislative licencing and consents in the marine environment, often in the most challenging of regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance with Government legislation.

About you:

The candidate will ideally have Marine Licensing experience as either applicant, regulator or statutory stakeholder, with a background within Case Teams or advisors and can bring forward a knowledge of the process that is of benefit to our clients and the wider project team. As a minimum, previous experience of successfully delivering licence applications or creating the supporting information used in licence applications is required.

Engagement with Clients, Regulators and other interested parties will be essential and so the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing will be essential to the role. Day to day you will be a point of contact for colleagues and clients to ensure that any project consenting requirements are adequately scoped or considered.

About the Role:

The role will involve immediate input across a wide range of consenting workstreams, to include ensuring the portfolio of Client Licences are kept up to date, providing consent scoping advice and undertaking new licence applications to meet project demands. This may include on site supervision or inspections of works being completed under marine or terrestrial consents.

In addition to the core marine consenting role, the successful candidate may also be required to support in other areas of the business, providing input into a range of consultancy projects.

Key Skills:

  • Firm knowledge of Marine Licencing under the Marine and Coastal Access Act
  • Familiarity with Marine Licences and typical Licence Conditions
  • Awareness of Environmental designations and the UK Marine Plans
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Interpersonal skills, able to work with team members and project partners
  • An enthusiastic, flexible and positive approach.
  • Good level of computer literacy
