A significant marina reconfiguration and extension, delivered over two consecutive winter phases, has expanded capacity and modernised facilities to meet both current and future market demand. Enhancements include larger and wider berths, more walk-ashore pontoons, and upgraded customer services, whilst preserving the historic charm of the site within the New Forest National Park.

The project, valued at approximately £2 million under Marina Projects’ leadership, entailed procurement strategy, contractor management, and thorough environmental oversight, including securing planning permission and a marine license.

BOATHOUSE REDEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL EXPANSION

With a £2 million investment, work began in October 2024 to transform the original boatshed into a versatile commercial space, featuring five waterfront offices, two meeting rooms, and three workshops (one capable of accommodating full‑height boats). The redevelopment includes waterproofing the exterior, interior finishing, and the addition of a new marina shop and chandlery.

GRAND OPENING & COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

On 26 June 2025, Buckler’s Hard marked the official opening of the redeveloped boatshed. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by heritage peer Lord Montagu, Olympian Vita Heathcote, and long-term berth-holders, underscoring the thriving community and business ecosystem at the Harbour.

The celebratory event included a vintage car display, Lindy Hop dancing, exhibitions, and a tour of the restored historic vessel, Fair Lady of Beaulieu.
