MARINA PROJECTS CELEBRATES SUCCESS AT ICOMIA 2025 AND LAUNCH OF TYHA REVISED CODE OF PRACTICE

28th October 2025

Venice, Italy, October 2025 – Marina Projects Ltd was proud to showcase its services and expertise at the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2025, held in the historic Arsenale di Venezia. Marina Projects activities at the conference included the successful launch of the 8th Edition of The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) Code of Practice.

The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference, held from 15–17 October, brought together global leaders in marina design, operation, investment and innovation. The event’s diverse programme, which featured keynote speeches, technical sessions, and marina tours that covered global market updates and showcased the latest in sustainable infrastructure and customer-focused marina operations. In addition to presenting a session with TYHA on the launch of the Code of Practice Mike Ward and Simon Goodhead of Marina Projects also moderated panels covering state-of-the-art marinas and innovation in pontoon infrastructure.

A highlight of the conference was the official launch of TYHA’s updated Code of Practice, a comprehensive guide for marina design, construction, and operation. Developed by Marina Projects in close collaboration with TYHA, the new edition reflects evolving industry standards and incorporates feedback from TYHA members, working groups, and international experts.

The updated Code includes:

  • Enhanced guidance on sustainability, safety, and customer experience
  • A suite of bespoke graphics to aid clarity and usability
  • Considerations for superyacht requirements, boatyard operations, and emerging trends

The launch in Venice marked a significant milestone in TYHA and Marina Projects’ ongoing mission to elevate standards across the marina sector. Marina Projects is proud to have played a central role in shaping this vital resource and looks forward to supporting its implementation across the industry early next year.

ICOMIA 2025 was a landmark event for the industry. The energy, collaboration, and interest in the Code of Practice from across the global community was very evident and reflects the support we have enjoyed over the last 12 months. Throughout the event we were delighted to engage with international peers and showcase skills and experience in marina consultancy.
