Marina Projects Ltd is seeking to recruit an individual to support and develop its consultancy team based in Gosport, Hampshire, UK. The Marina Consultant position will suit a marine civil engineer or other professional with a technical background.

With an increasing workload and expanding portfolio of exciting projects, we are looking for an experienced individual to take on a key role within the consultancy team. The successful candidate will contribute to the consultancy across a range of technical services and be expected to lead on the delivery of projects.
The experienced individual will ideally have a proven record of Design Development that includes aspects of marine civil engineering, design assessment and waterfront design & masterplanning. Experience of Project Management across all stages of a commission and client/stakeholder relationships would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have an amount of experience working in the marine sector, with specific knowledge associated with the design (& operation) of marine related infrastructure i.e. marinas, harbours, ports etc. The candidate will be well organised, an excellent communicator, both orally and through report writing and be someone who can work as part of a team or individually using their initiative as the project requires. Qualified in a relevant discipline, the individual may also possess training or accreditations from recognised industry bodies.
The role has the potential to span a wide range of industry disciplines from report writing, data analysis, masterplanning, market assessments, concept design and feasibility studies through to marine design, procurement and construction. As a result, the candidate will be expected to apply themselves to a diverse portfolio of consultancy projects and an understanding of the maritime and marine leisure industry will be an advantage. A strong working knowledge of the design principles and complementary software packages together with Microsoft Office suite is considered essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to represent the company at conferences, seminars or stakeholder events as appropriate. Working within a dynamic and progressive industry will require a willingness to learn and develop new skills as required.
This is a permanent position based in Gosport on the edge of Portsmouth Harbour, but you will be expected to travel both within the UK and overseas as projects may dictate. As such a valid UK driving licence is required.
