Project Manager required to support leading marina design consultancy

Leading marina and waterfront design consultant, Marina Projects Ltd, is seeking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support and help grow its professional team based in Gosport, Hampshire.

With an expanding portfolio of exciting commissions and the continued growth of our consultancy, we are looking for an experienced individual to take on a key project management role within the consultancy team. The successful candidate will make a full and immediate contribution to consultancy services and will be expected to assist and lead on the delivery of projects from enquiry through to completion.

About You: The individual will have a proven record of project management skills and delivery at all stages of a commission, together with experience of client and stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will be well organised, an excellent communicator, both written and orally and someone who can work as part of a team and individually, applying their own initiative as the tasks require. Strong technical and report writing skills are considered essential. Ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline, the individual is likely to have a technical and/or operational background, and will have experience working in the maritime industry. Relevant disciplines might include marine/civil engineering, design, architecture/urban planning, operational management, project management etc. A good understanding of the maritime and marine leisure industry would be an advantage.

About the Role: The role will span a wide range of industry disciplines from data analysis, market assessments and feasibility studies through to conceptual design, planning, construction & operational guidance. As a result, the candidate will be required to demonstrate an ability to adapt and apply themselves to a diverse portfolio of consultancy projects. The successful candidate may be expected to represent the company at client meetings, conferences, seminars or stakeholder events as appropriate.

Job Particulars / Remuneration: This is a permanent position based in Gosport on the edge of Portsmouth Harbour, but you will be expected to travel both within the UK and overseas as projects may dictate. As such a valid UK driving licence is required. The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
