The South Downs Way is well knows as one of the toughest mountain bike challenges in the UK due to its 160km extent and 3.8km of elevation on difficult and varying terrain.
Dan, Padhraic, Phil and Simon have been training since April in a bid to undertake the challenge in a single day and raise funds and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
After many weeks of preparation, the team headed out of Winchester at 04:30 on Saturday 16th July 2016 to take on the South Downs.
With clear skies overhead and Eastbourne on the very distant horizon, the challenge commenced. The team completed the distance in 15.5 hours arriving in Eastbourne at 20:00.
With support from work colleagues, marine industry professionals, friends and family our team have raised over £1,300 to date.
