Marina Projects Ltd is pleased to announce the addition of a new Project Manager to the Hampshire based team. Padhraic O’Connor is a qualified Port & Coastal Engineer with experience in port planning, design and physical modelling. The continued growth of the company’s Project Management team reflects the increase in enquiry levels and demand for the services offered by Marina Projects.
Mike Ward, Marina Projects’ Director commented, “We are delighted to welcome Padhraic to the team. His skills and maritime engineering experience will further strengthen the consultancy offering and greatly enhance the service provision to our clients. The positive growth in our activity has led to an increase in the number of employees by 30% in the last twelve months and we hope to see a continued rise in commissions that will allow us to grow further still.”
Padhraic studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Limerick and completed a postgraduate degree in Stellenbosch University where he achieved a First Class Honours MSc in Port & Coastal Engineering. He has five years’ experience as a Port & Coastal Engineer in South Africa and has relocated to the UK in order to expand his maritime engineering portfolio. In his spare time Padhraic enjoys all forms of watersports, in particular sailing and kiting, but is equally at home in the mountains either cycling or trail running. He added, “I am excited to have the opportunity to join Marina Projects as a Project Manager and to use the skills I have learned and developed in recent years. I hope to bring something new to the team and in turn glean some knowledge from the vastly experienced individuals by my side.”
Padhraic will assist the team with current projects including Portonovi, Montenegro and Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
