Phil Dunn, Senior Project Manager

Phil has an engineering background and over 17 years experience in civil and marine engineering covering project management, feasibility, design and construction.
As a senior member of the consultancy team, Phil has in depth knowledge of ongoing commissions and assists with the day to day management of the practice.
Prior to joining Marina Projects Ltd, Phil spent six years with a major marina operator delivering the company’s capital budget with particular responsibility for delivering projects to time and budget. Previously Phil gained valuable experience with international consultants, Halcrow within their water and marine section.
His career path has lead to a depth of experience, and particular interest in the design and development of marine related projects, underpinned by an understanding of pontoons systems, marina services, dry stack, dredging and related infrastructure works. Phil’s extensive experience has also led to a detailed understanding of environmental issues and the consents process. Currently he is involved with a number of active projects both in the UK and abroad undertaking project management, market analysis, feasibility studies, both concept and detailed design and providing procurement advice.
Projects of particular note include;
- Porto Montenegro, Montenegro – lead marina consultant in respect of a major development to create one of the Mediterranean’s largest superyacht marinas. Input includes business model development through to technical advice, design and procurement.
- Pwllheli Events Centre & Sailing Academy – completion of market & viability study and preparations of concept proposals to develop a new national sailing centre.
- Port of Dover, Marina Research – review of existing business, including berth holder consultation, market analysis and development of future strategy to compliment wider port development plans.
- Woolverstone Marina, Ipswich – project management, technical advice and the securing of consents to facilitate marina reconfiguration/development.
